Founder & CEO
Alexandra Afari is an executive management consultant and former federal senior program leader with more than 18 years of experience supporting complex organizations across federal health, public-sector, nonprofit, technology, energy, and private-sector environments.
She has led portfolios exceeding $100M, including $68M+ in NIH/NLM program execution, and has directed multidisciplinary teams of more than 100 professionals across complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Her work has required coordination across executive leaders, federal program officials, scientists, IT professionals, subject matter experts, subcontractors, and program support teams.
Alexandra’s leadership experience spans strategic planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, organizational development, financial stewardship, workforce leadership, performance management, and implementation oversight. She has worked directly with Contracting Officers, CORs, federal program leadership, and executive teams to strengthen visibility, manage risk, support informed decision-making, and improve delivery outcomes.
Her federal health leadership includes support to the Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, and National Library of Medicine, where she consistently earned Exceptional CPARS ratings through disciplined execution, proactive communication, governance coordination, and structured oversight.
This experience directly informs IQ Leverage’s approach: practical strategy, strong governance, collaborative engagement, and measurable execution.
IQ Leverage is committed to helping organizations clarify priorities, strengthen accountability, align stakeholders, and move from strategy to action with confidence.
